By the grace of the Datta Tradition and Brahmarishi Mohanji, we welcome you to the MyDattatreya website. This project started with a vision to create an internet portal for the Dattatreya Tradition, which was presented to Mohanji, a contemporary Dattatreya Master, for his approval and blessings, and which were received with gratitude.
With the grace and blessings of the Masters of the Tradition, a nine-person international team came together to build the initial website, with members from Canada, USA, Denmark, Bosnia, North Macedonia, Australia, and India. Interestingly, even though the subject matter is intricately interwoven with the Hindu spiritual tradition, only four members of the team actually have an Indian, Hindu background, testifying to the present universal, and widely spreading appeal of the Dattatreya Tradition. It has been an intense and gratifying project for all of us. Our initial team objective was to create a modern home for the Dattatreya Tradition on the internet. We wanted to bring together the Avatars and Masters of the Tradition, by featuring their life stories, teachings, miracles, sadhana, pilgrimage information, etc., for for the education and inspiration of sincere spiritual seekers worldwide.
As our activities and core team have gradually expanded, we have also formalised our key objectives in the following way:
– To provide a transformational educational resource that brings the Dattatreya Tradition to life for a contemporary audience.
– To preserve the knowledge of the Avadhuta, Nath and Siddha traditions through the means of modern media forms.
– To create inspirational and revivifying content about the great scriptures, traditions and the life of Masters through the power of spontaneous transmission-based commentary and exegesis.
– To provide a tradition-informed backdrop to the present and future work of Brahmarishi Mohanji.
– To bring together likeminded beings to create and promote the content and thus fulfil the foundational principles of the Datta Path—to be of selfless service to a benevolent aim.
MyDattatreya is more than just another encyclopedic collection of information. It is about our personal relationship with the Divine, and Divinity in action, to teach and inspire us, uplift us, and ultimately lead us to complete liberation.

The MyDattatreya logo initially started with an inspiration received by our website designer to combine the marks [tilaks] on the foreheads of the three deities of the Dattatreya idol, Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, into one symbol. But as often happens with artistic endeavours the logo has become more than that; it has taken on a presence of its own, with deep symbolic meaning. At the heart of the logo is the Bindu, the point of Singularity from which all proceeds. The two horizontal fields, separated by the centre line represent Duality which has proceeded from Singularity and is represented in all creation. The three vertical fields represent the Trinity, Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, in charge of Creation, Sustenance, and Dissolution. The crescent on top of the symbol, similar to the crescent at the top of the OM symbol, represents Maya, unending motion, also seen as Dancing Shiva.
Both the Bindu and Maya are depicted in deep maroon red, indicating the deep love quality of both. Singular Divinity is at the heart of Maya, just as it is at the heart of Duality and the Trinity. It reaches out to us in a divine play of loving interaction, guided by the Guru principle. We honor this principle with Love and Purity, Faith, and Patience.
Our interaction with the Divine is our personal journey, hence the name MyDattatreya. The primordial Guru, the Guru of all Gurus, is the Divine Itself, represented by Dattatreya.

Congratulations to the entire team behind the MyDattatreya website. I wish you great clarity, great enthusiasm, great consistency with conviction, and great longevity to this effort.
Dattatreya is a unique frequency all-encompassing, omnipresent, unfathomable, pure brightness, everlasting and always available.
Dattatreya has taken many forms to come and talk to the contemporary generation, time and again. The Tradition of Liberation has brought forth many Avatars, great Avatars who had great clarity, clarity of purpose, and humility. Unassumingly they walked this earth with complete abandon, totally unassuming, giving themselves to nature and nature’s fluctuations and flows. Still, they delivered themselves to this world.
All these avatars, all these great masters have influenced human lives. But it has not been easy to recognise them, many of them looked like madmen, totally in a state of ecstasy, completely invisible. They walk amongst us as insignificant as possible. Yet, they contributed with one glance, with a movement of a finger. With the sheer power of purification by their presence, they created much difference in the lives of people of each generation.
Dattatreya cannot be defined. All of us are Dattatreya, or at least a part of us is connected to Datta. Whether we know him, whether we understand him, whether we worship him or not, it does not matter. Datta lives in everybody. In all atoms, in all frequencies, there is a presence of Datta. And that presence is in us too. Because that is omnipresence, ever brightness, intelligent energy, which we call the Supreme Consciousness. If Supreme Consciousness personifies itself and brings forth a form, that form will be called Datta. All the people who are personifications of Supreme Consciousness are indeed Datta.
Once again, I congratulate all of you for walking this path, with tenacity, conviction, consistency, and also a clear purpose.
The purpose is to transform this world to Heaven, to the state of Satya Yuga, the state where pure consciousness is displayed in every existence, every life. There are no ups and downs, no dualities, nothing at all, it’s pure consciousness at work. Birth is by choice, death is by choice, form is by choice; formlessness does not need a choice.
So this is exactly how Datta operates. Let us find the Datta within us, let’s find our purpose within us, and let’s serve the world unconditionally.
Let’s not judge, let’s not criticise, let’s not gossip, scandalise. Let’s not go into any mind-related stuff. Let us not diminish ourselves to anger, hatred, jealousy, and those kinds of emotions.
Instead, let’s raise ourselves to compassion, kindness, selflessness, nonviolence, and all the possibilities of human existence which elevate consciousness, elevate our awareness to supreme consciousness. I wish you great success. I’m walking with you, and I love you unconditionally. I’m always there for you.
May this website reach millions and bring brightness into their lives, bring purpose in their lives, and bring solace in their life. Dattatreya is a promise, and that promise is of liberation.
