Dattatreya mantra chanting is very simple. It can be chanted by anyone, anytime, anyplace and draws the instantaneous attention of Lord Dattatreya. There is no restriction whatsoever on whether it can be chanted by women, when, by whom and so on. In fact, the divine form of Dattatreya is a symbolic personification of the Supreme Reality and, therefore, is beyond religion. It is a playful representation of pure consciousness. People of any religion can chant the name of Dattatreya, worship Him or pray to Him in the form of the Guru of gurus. Dattatreya is a highly benign form of the Lord who is easily pleased and so merciful. Therefore, He shall be highly pleased to see little acts of devotion done with sincerity. All one needs to do is remember Him. 

The Holy name of the Divine is inseparable from the Divine. When we invoke the Divine by repeating His name in highly vibrational mantras we are instantly connected in the same way when we call a phone number, we instantly connect to that person.

MOHANJI HAS SAID:

“Energies are changing very rapidly on Earth now, with a lot of calamities expected from now (written in 2014) to 2022. You can see the effect of it on people. The mind is restless and controlling. Connecting to higher frequency and meditation has become difficult. Thus, today, chanting has greater value than meditation, and it can lead to meditation. 

You can see that the basic instinct, or basic aspect of people’s character, has been enhanced in the last few years. People who are oriented to spirituality, meditation, exploring themselves have intensified. Because at this time the Earth is spinning faster. A little effort from you helps much more. One year is almost equal to fifty years. If you invest in awareness now, it will help you achieve your goal much faster.”

CHANTING WITH INTENTION:

It is advisable to prepare before the chant by remembering the presence of Lord Dattatreya. Lord Dattatreya is very benign and cares for his devotees. If difficulties are faced, submit the problem to His presence and trustingly ask for His blessings.
